Our comprehensive training program equips participants with hands-on experience in vehicle restoration and instills essential life skills such as responsibility, timeliness, and pride in their work.

Program Overview

Our objective is to teach basic vehicle restoration skills while instilling feelings of responsibility, timeliness, and pride in work completed. Additionally, to teach participants to focus their attention and to set and achieve goals.

Anticipated Outcome: Expose participants to the automotive industry and related job opportunities, encouraging them to pursue further education, apprenticeships, or entrepreneurial ventures.

Training Timeframe:

Personal Growth and Development:

Every day starts with an hour dedicated to personal growth and development. This includes roundtable discussions on various topics to help participants build self-confidence, improve communication skills, and set personal and professional goals.

Field Trips:

Participants go on several field trips to car shows, restoration shops, and manufacturing plants. These trips provide valuable insights into the automotive industry and expose participants to various career opportunities.

Hands-On Training: Participants learn by doing. The course includes modules on:

  • Basic automotive repair and maintenance

  • Tool usage and safety

  • Metalworking and welding techniques

Life Skills Training:

Interwoven throughout the program are sessions on job readiness, such as resume building, interview preparation, and dressing for success. These skills are crucial for participants to successfully transition into the workforce.

Guest Presentations and Counseling:

Industry professionals regularly visit to discuss different aspects of the automotive field, including job opportunities and entrepreneurial possibilities. Individual counseling sessions help participants navigate their career paths and educational opportunities.

Real-World Applications:

Participants gain experience working on actual classic vehicles, learning how to disassemble and rebuild entire cars. They practice their skills on smaller projects before moving on to larger tasks, ensuring they are comfortable and competent in their abilities.
